Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Aligarh, offered Admission each year for various courses through all India level Admission Test. Therefore these are the Admission Test paper Pattern of various courses for Admission at AMU.


M.Sc (Biotechnology)

There shall be one objective type paper of 100 marks comprising 100 questions on Chemistry, Botany, Zoology & Elementary Mathematics.


M.B.A (Agribusiness)

There shall be one objective type paper of 100 marks comprising a total of 100 questions with 25 questions each on

1. General Environmental Awareness

2. Quantitative and Numerical Aptitude

3. English Comprehension & Written Communication Skills

4. Data Interpretation and Logical reasoning.


B.A (Foreign Language)

There shall be one objective type paper of 100 marks with the following components:

a) English Composition, Grammar, Comprehension etc. : 60 Marks

b) General Awareness and Current Affairs : 20 Marks

c) Indo-Islamic Culture and Aligarh Movement : 10 Marks

d) Reasoning and Intelligence : 10 Marks


CET (Paramedical courses)

There shall be one objective type paper of 100 marks comprising 100 questions on Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology.


MCA (Master in Computer Science and Applications)

There shall be one objective type paper of 100 marks comprising 100 Questions with the following breakup:

a) Mathematics and Statistics : 50 Questions

b) Physics : 20 Questions

c) Computer Science : 20 Questions

d) Logical ability, deductive ability and reasoning : 10 Questions


Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery

There shall be one objective type paper of 100 marks with the following break-up:

(a) English & General Knowledge : 30 marks

(b) Physics, Chemistry, & Mathematics : 30 marks

(c) Biology : 40 marks


B.E (Evening) (Bachelor of Engineering)

There shall be one Objective Type Paper of 100 marks comprising 100 Questions with (i) 25 Questions on Physical Sciences and (ii) 75 Questions on relevant Engg. Sciences with some questions having emphasis on practical aspects.


MBA (Financial Management) 

and MTTM

There shall be one objective type paper of 100 marks comprising 100 questions on 

(i) Enviromental Awareness : 25 Marks

(ii) Data Interpretation & Numerical Ability : 25 Marks

(iii) Comprehension & Verbal Ability : 25 Marks

(iv) Reasoning & Intelligence : 25 Marks


MSW (Master of Social Work)

There shall be one paper of 100 marks comprising 100 Objective Type questions on (i) General Awareness (ii) Numerical Ability & Data Interpretation (iii) Communication Skills & Comprehension (iv) Reasoning & Intelligence.


B.Lib.I.Sc.

There shall be one paper of 100 marks comprising of 100 Multiple Choice questions as per the details given below :

1.General English :50 marks. 

2.General Knowledge :40 marks

3.General Awareness about the books and their use in a library :10 marks


B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture (Under Self Financing Scheme)

There shall be one objective type paper of 100 marks with the following components:

Physics : 25 Marks

Chemistry : 25 Marks

English : 20 Marks

Mathematics : 10 Marks

Biology : 10 Marks

Agriculture : 10 Marks


M.A. (Mass Communication)

There shall be one paper of 100 marks comprising 40 objective type questions on General Awareness and 4 descriptive type questions on Communicative Skills.


11th (Science/Diploma Engg.)

There shall be one objective type paper of 100 marks comprising 100 questions with the following breakup :

a)Science (Physics, Chemistry and Life Science) : 50 Marks

b)Mathematics : 30 Marks

c)General Knowledge : 10 Marks

d)Indo-Islamic Culture : 10 Marks


11th (Arts/Commerce)

There shall be one objective type paper of 100 marks comprising 100 questions with the following breakup :

a) Social Studies (Civics, Economics, History and Geography) : 60 Marks

b) Mathematics : 20 Marks

c) General Knowledge : 10 Marks

d) Indo-Islamic Culture : 10 Marks


MBA, MBA (IB) and MBA (Islamic Banking & Finance)

There shall be one objective type paper of 100 marks comprising 100 objective type questions (MCQs) on: 

(i) Environmental Awareness : 25 Marks

(ii) Quantitative and Numerical Ability : 25 Marks

(iii) Comprehension and Verbal Ability : 20 Marks

(iv) Reasoning and Intelligence : 15 Marks

(v) Data Analysis and Interpretation : 15 Marks


B.Ed

There shall be one paper of 100 marks comprising 100 questions on

a)Reasoning : 25 questions 

b)General English : 25 questions

c)Teaching Aptitude : 25 questions 

d)Current Educational Affairs : 25 questions


B.A (Hons.)

There shall be one objective type paper of 100 marks with the following components:

a) English : 25 Marks

b) Indo-Islamic Culture and Aligarh Movement : 25 Marks

c) General Awareness and Current Affairs : 40 Marks

d) Reasoning and Intelligence : 10 Marks


B.Sc (Hons.)

There shall be one objective type paper of 100 marks with the following components:

Section I English : 25 Marks

Section Il Chemistry : 25 Marks

Section Ill Physics : 25 Marks

Section IV Mathematics : 25 Marks

Section V Biology : 25 Marks

Section VI Home Science : 25 Marks

Note: Sections I, II and III are compulsory. Candidates will have the choice to attempt any one Section from IV and V.


B.Com (Hons.)

There shall be one objective type paper of 100 marks with the following components:

a) English : 25 Marks

b) Accountancy : 20 Marks

c) Business Studies : 15 Marks

d) Economics : 10 Marks

e) Elementary Mathematics & Statistics : 10 Marks

f) Reasoning & Numerical Ability : 10 Marks

g) General Awareness : 10 Marks


B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology)

There shall be one objective type paper of 150 marks comprising 150 questions on Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.


B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture)

There shall be two papers of equal weightage

Paper-I : Common with B.Tech. applicants (details are provided under B.Tech. programme)

Paper-II (Architecture Aptitude Test): It shall contain some descriptive questions and Test of Drawing. 

Note:

1. Candidates (including Rank holders of Diploma in Engineering of this University) should secure atleast 40% marks in Paper-II(Architecture Aptitude Test) to become eligible for selection.

2. Candidates are advised to bring their own drawing and sketching material like pencils, eraser, sharpner, pen, ink,Pencil Colours, Water Colours etc.Drawing Sheets and/or Answer Booklet shall be provided to the candidates.
