Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) offered various courses for admission like Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), School Admission, Diploma courses, Postgraduate Diploma, Certificate courses, Ph.D. (Research), Part-Time courses, etc.
Type of Admission Test: There are generally four (4) types of admission test and these are as follows:
1. General Admission Test or Test Courses: Some of the admission tests of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is in under general admission test or test courses. The responsibilities to conduct the admission test of these courses are in AMU controller of Examination and the test center of some of them are outside of the Aligarh and Aligarh. Admit cards shall be available online on the university's official website. (Full list given below)
2. Departmental Test courses: The test center of these courses are in Aligarh only. Responsibilities to conduct these admission test is in respective departments. Admit cards shall NOT be available online and the same candidates have to collect their admit cards from the respective office of the department.
3. Non-Test courses: In these courses, admission is on the basis of merit/percentage of the qualifying examinations. There is NO admission test in these courses.
4. School Admission for Class-I/VI/IX: These courses are the same as General Admission Test/Test Courses but the Admission test centers are in Aligarh only.
